DCBurners -- DC Area Burners

About DCBurners
English (USA)

What is the DC Burner List? The DC Burner list is a forum to advertise events/social activities for the local Burning Man and Burning Man associated community. Things that may be posted on the list include but are not limited to information on private parties, public parties, organized activities (like art openings), disorganized activities (like SantArchy, Clown Rampages or Bunny Hops), informational posts (like wedding, baby, engagement anouncements and the like) and general social outings (like "let's go to dinner", "anything going on tonight?" or "let's go see a movie"). It is a moderated list and requires a personal invite from an existing list member to join.

What is the DC Burner List not? The DC Burner list is not a forum to flame, criticize or argue about anything. If you want to do that, the Balt-Wash list is a fine place to let it all hang out. Hippie Love Posts (HLP) are tolerated because sometimes you just can't help yourself and must publically praise a particularly great event and offer kudos to an organizer who did a great job.

Please do not cross post information to other lists unless you have checked with and gotten an OK from the person sponsoring the event.

You can get booted off the list for a single incident of very bad behavior or multiple incidents of less egregious behavior. Your humble list cop does his best to be firm yet fair in these instances and now has two unfortunate notches on his belt. This dog has tasted human blood and may bite again, so be careful. If you have a problem with any of the posts on the list or member of the list, please be an adult and deal with the offending person one on one, either face to face or in a private email.

If you wish to nominate somebody as a member of the list, please contact the list moderator and provide him with the appropriate information.

Cheers,

Booger
