October 30, 2002 - The Bush administration has revised the charter of the National Human Research Protections Advisory Committee to specify that
embryos in experiments are "human subjects" whose welfare should be considered along with that of fetuses, children and adults. (Linked ABCNews article expired and was removed.)
Vote Kathleen Kennedy Townsend or Spear Lancaster for Governor of Maryland on Election Day. Spear is pro-life, but thinks that it's not the government's right to tell a woman what do do with her body. He would promote programs to make a woman more likely to decide to keep the baby and make adoption more user-friendly, while not passing any prohibitive laws against the act itself.
