To Assateague Island National Seashore, Assateague, VA

From Baltimore/DC:

From the Baltimore Beltway, go around to the southeast section adn take 97 south. Go down 97 till you get near Annapolis, then hop onto 50 going east. Take 50 across the bay bridge, and stay on 50 for a long time..about 2 miles before you hit ocean city you'll come to rt 611 south..make a right and follow 611. From there, I'm not sure specific directions are really necessary, because there are a bunch of signs everywhere. Once you get off rt 50 it's maybe another 20 mins of driving.

Another way to go, once you get pretty far down on Route 50, is to take rt 113 south towards Berlin, MD, then make a left onto 376 (i think it's called "Assateague Road" or something like that) and then go right on 611. You cut a bit of a corner taking this route, but I think taking 611 directly off 50 is a little less confusing, and there are more stores and stuff along that way so you can buy groceries.
