Man vs. Pee Machine This morning while I was getting ready for work, Dot peed in my laundry basket, thoroughly drenching my "Ehrlich for Governor" tee-shirt. While I can't argue with her taste, she's locked in the bathroom with a fresh box of litter, food and water. Any advice is appreciated.

Kazoogrrl has good suggestions for keeping her from peeing outside the litterbox. As for washing your drenched clothes, it's pretty easy to get the smell out (especially if you're timely about cleaning it). Just put 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in with your regular detergent, and wash as usual. I usually wash in warm/hot water when I'm cleaning cat nasty.

Man, that's hardcore! I don't know what her beef is, but she sure seems angry about something. I guess it's possible that she REALLY doesn't have any waste covering instincts that would make her want to use a litterbox, but I doubt it. Keeping her in the bathroom is probably your best bet for now.
