March 21, 2008 I feel a certain calmness and serenity tonight, as if a tide has turned in my entire perception. I welcome it.
The flu kept me inside all day, which gave me plenty of time to ponder my current life situation in between annoyingly unsatisfying naps.
Once I got my energy level back up I decided to rearrange a few rooms in the house to match the sort of activity that I want in my life. I shifted around all the furniture in the living room and dining room have been moved around to maximize social interaction and music and remove the emphasis on the television set. I'm quite happy with the results, although all the exertion left me a little nauseated.
Tomorrow assuming I have the energy I will catch up on some of the work I wasn't able to do yesterday but has the same deadlines it did today. My next goal is to turn the bedroom into a space that is only used for sleeping and getting dressed in the morning, and remove anything from it that doesn't serve either of those purposes.
Then I'll sit down, take a deep breath (or two), and figure out what to do next.
