March 6, 2008 Taught a friend who had never picked up a pistol before today to shoot. It took us about an hour in the range, 30 minutes of which was talking and explaining proper gun safety in the safety of the lane, and 10 minutes of which was spent squeezing the trigger with the safety on to cure him of the anticipation flinch that you get after the first ten rounds or so. It was an awesome trip and I think he really enjoyed it too.
Went to a Harford Park Community Association meeting this evening and everything seems to be doing well. I'll be at this weekend's Beef and Bingo event at our hall on Sunday. If anyone feels particularly eager to come hang out there and have some food and play bingo, drop me a line. It's $8 and campy, but should be a lot of fun.
