Congress capitulates, grants executive branch more surveillance powers This week Barbara Mikulski voted to give up your privacy to the Bush Administration by taking more authority to monitor domestic wiretapping away from the FISA courts into the hand of sworn liar-to-Congress Alberto Gonzales. The terrorist threat is the specter that is being used to dismantle the rights of the American people, and our elected officials are letting themselves get steamrolled into pushing all the power into the executive branch. Thanks to Ben Cardin for doing the right thing and voting against S. 1927.
Edit: I mistakenly had John Sarbanes on this list, and for that I apologize.
