Comcast requires SSN for service

Comcast, the local cable television monopoly requires a social security number in order to active service for a new customer. GDAEman is justifably upset about this requirement.

we complained, and they only required us to give the last 4 digits. No one is entitled to have your ssn unless you are paying taxes on income . . so that means banks/employer. The more of us who stop giving the SSN and educating these companies, then hopefully it will change.
