My 1999 e-mail about the Swatch satellite transmitting advertisements on amateur radio has risen from the dead, and I'm getting a series of inquiries from random folks that it's getting passed around. Sadly the domain that I originally used for the email, rob.carlson.org, was a rental subdomain and I let it expire back to the company around 2000. If it was my UMBC page or this site, people would see the correct information quickly. Unfortunately, most folks won't take the time to e-mail, so a bunch of good-intentioned amateurs will go around crying wolf about Swatch in 2007 while we have different (but no less pressing) issues of a rapidly aging community and obselesence to deal with.
