Congratulations to Ben Cardin for his rise to Senate, and Todd Schuler for his first position in Maryland government as my delegate.

The results for Legislative District 8 took forever to announce because the margins were so thin that the absentee and provisional ballots both had an effect on the final results.

From the first night, mathematically Eric Bromwell had a spot and John Cluster did not. After a week, Todd Schuler and Ruth Baisden were still hanging in the balance of a few hundred votes. Todd won by 95 in the final official results.

Rob Banz calls this my "I told you so" post. It's only that way because everybody I wanted won, but I was admittedly non-decisive this year because of a lack of candidates who stood out from the crowd. Those who did got my nod, and I'm happy to see them there.
