November 19, 2006 I'm mostly sad that this is the last day of my vacation, but I've taken the time to write up a new budget spreadsheet for November 2006 to 2007 that uses only checking account disbersement recipients instead of broad categories. It lumps together a lot of purchases under the credit cards, but I will be using a pencil and notepad to keep track of daily cash out over the next few months instead of trying to categorize everything at the end of the month through all methods of payments.
Right now we only have about $500 in liquid assets due to sticking a lot of money into retirement investments and some withdrawals worthy of the emergency fund. Our investments currently stand at about 33% of our annual income, with zero short-term debt outstanding. Its time to rebuild the emergency fund again, though. I'll be watching my spending carefully, and making sure the dishes are done so Suzy won't refuse to cook until they are.
In blog-related news, there are comments on all posts now. For the next few weeks they won't actually get posted to the page along with the articles, but I will be watching submissions to see if I actually get quality responses and lighting them all up en masse if its not all spam and obnoxious criticism. Enjoy!
