My lunch total today came to $6.66. I said to the cashier in deadpan, "Must be my lucky day." She seemed to be at once amused and disturbed.

I forgot my XM radio a few days ago and stumbled on the WYPR food program, where the two guys were talking about the lovely tiny strawberries at the farmers market. Now all I see everywhere are huge bloated strawberries.

This morning I paid a guy $100 to remove five years and three months worth of funk from the inside and outside of my car while I work. I wonder if he's ever seen quite so many soot marks in the backseat of a car before.

There are guys cleaning the outside of this building, which is made entirely of windows. Every time they bounce off the glass, the whole cube farm reverberates. This week I think I'd rather be outside doing their job than inside doing mine.

Perl's floating point management is really despicable. I'm hoping a few minutes of research will turn up the best way to deal with imprecision and randomly occuring exponential notation.

In Personal Finance news, my KCI 401(k) is down as much since March 1 as it rose since January 1. My interest for the last six months is .208%. My shitty checking account makes more. That said, since I stopped contributing eight months ago, I have made about 4.3%.
