Tremors Detected In Ehrlich's Base

From the Washington Post:

Gun rights advocate Jim Purtilo said he never expected Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. to turn Maryland into a place where people could strap on a holster and side arm and roam free. But the Republican governor has been such a disappointment on even the most nuanced gun issues, Purtilo said, that he is considering urging the 50,000 Maryland subscribers to his firearms newsletter to stay home on Election Day.

I had this feeling the day I got back a letter from candidate Bob Ehrlich in reply to my letter about gun rights telling me how he would make it easier for police officers to carry their weapons in other states legally, and not much else. I've never seen him be as gun-friendly as most of the Democrats in my district. If this is a tremor, it's an aftershock at least four years in coming.
