Next Thursday! We need YOU to rally for voting rights! As we prepare to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the ACLU of Maryland is working to ensure that voting rights in Maryland are protected and strengthened.

On August 4, 2005, the ACLU will rally with Del. Sandy Rosenberg and Sen. Lisa Gladden, along with the NAACP, the League of Conservation Voters, SEIU, Common Cause and many other groups. We will be calling for the override of Governor Ehrlich's vetoes of vital voting rights legislation overwhelmingly passed by the General Assembly.
