We were going to make this an action-packed day, but instead we slept in, drove to Columbia for some driving practice, then did the multi-store jag to Home Depot, Quizzno's Subs, and Dick's Sporting Goods to get equipment for fire staff construction and headed up to Eric's place. Suzy and Eric spent a good two hours in the backyard with power tools putting things together while I watched From Hell and Falling Down in Eric's living room on the laptop and tried (and failed) to write some e-mails. By the time we got back to the house I was so exhausted I did a few sinks full of dishes and fell asleep.
