March 30, 2005 Busy day of errands took me around to Wachovia, Suburban Ace Hardware and Ricardo's Gems and Jewelery.
Was chatting over the counter to the teller at Wachovia and she mentioned what I beautiful day it was. Yeah, I said, it's just a shame I have so much to do that I'm stuck driving around in the car this afternoon instead of walking. "Oh," she said, "You're the guy that likes to walk here, aren't you?"
It's nice to be recognized.
Turns out the place I was going to go on York Road, Carter's Watch and Jewelery is no longer in business and has been replaced by some travel agency. The guy at Ricardo's replaced a battery for me in less than a minute, sealed it back up for $6.30. Not a bad deal and very friendly service.
