Club What's Next Raided and Ticketed

Just like the busts in Racine, WI (which the city later apologized for), police recent arrested or ticketed everyone in a club in Flint, MI for being in a place were drugs were found. Drug Policy Alliance is on the case and provides a handy form so you can tell the city council how you feel.

Just to let you know, we are one step closer to victory today. On October 13, 2006, the courts decided that those of us who were ticked for "frequenting a drug house" were not guilty. The charges were subsequently dropped. Today (March 15, 2007), the ACLU filed a class action lawsuit against the Flint Police Department and Gennessee County Sheriff's Department. You can read it online at www.aclumich.org. Thank goodness this might be over soon! : )
