Service at the K.C. church (intentionally not linked) was great this morning. Tim talked about the size of the universe and how its so great that we as human beings are able to comprehend just how insignificant we are, compared to not so long ago when the Earth was considered the extent of existence. Then Bob Racine spoke about metaphorical resurrection and how while Matthew, Mark and Luke are written as a biography, John is more of an epic poem, filled more with truth in allegory than fact.

Afterwards we went to Fuddruckers for burgers and to celebrate Suzy's brother's birthday. Suzy got him a designer clock from a recently released jailbird's interior design mega-empire which shall remain nameless and a desk lamp. He seemed embarassed at being a teenager.

We left early for the Playa del Fuego planning meeting and its a good thing we did because as we got off of I-95 and onto I-395 in Baltimore, we found out that at 14:00 the Saint Patrick's Day parade would be marching through downtown, right around where we were going to be meeting. Suzy hopped in the backseat and got online through my cell phone and took voice calls on hers until we snagged a replacement meeting place in Hamden.

There were only a few of us at the meeting, and the conference call feed and the streaming didn't work because of a lack of equipment, but we approved most of the outstanding measures for the budget and got finished in a little over an hour, which I think may be a record for PDF meetings. We went straight from there to Office Depot to get some supplies, ate at the Nautilus Diner on York Road and then hit up Kinko's for the ticket printing. We were out of there by about 19:45 and back on the road for the Red Emma's collective meeting.
