Showed up late to KC this morning for their meditative service. Missed some of the sharing but none of the meditation. Both Suzy and I got in all our whole fifteen minutes worth, which was very pleasant. Had some really nice conversations with the members, and then we headed our separate ways instead of having lunch together because Joey is sick.

We took a tour of BJ's Wholesale Club, which looks like a good deal even if their premium membership isn't. I know I might possibly wind up spending $1000.00 there in a year, but I don't want to admit it the day I sign up that it's a good financial choice. Maybe next year when I might be in the market for a projector or something.

As has been our custom lately, we left with nothing but some food in our stomachs after casing the place for membership suitability. Got some replacement items for Suzy's apartment to bring it up to shape at Home Depot afterwards. We spent about 4 hours cleaning up and loading the last bits of stuff into the trunk and back-seat of the car and then headed back home.

We unloaded the truck quick and then headed back into the city to Red Emma's to hear John talk about his Indymedia experiences. I had the pleasure to finally meet Jim George and spud in person during his discussion and learned a lot about the politics of the regional Indymedia groups. Afterwards I sat in on my third collective meeting which ran about 2 hours longer than my brain lasted.
