January 17, 2004 T-Mobile appears to be upgrading a tower somewhere in Hunt Valley, MD. My signal will completely disappear for 45 minute stretches, then come back half scale, then come back full scale, then disappear again. I'd say it was my phone, but my co-worker's (also T-Mobile) phone of a different model is doing the exact same thing. My phone, by the way, hasn't moved from the spot on my desk I placed it in this morning.
Met Kathleen at Mick O'Shea's last night for burgers and beer. They were out of Resurrection, so we had a Harp instead. On the way back home, Kathleen got pulled over and issued an ERO for her right brake light. We weren't sure what had happened so we circled the block a few times until the cop let her go and followed her to Grand Central to find out.
Once we were in there, we got our arms twisted into some drinks and I worked on proofreading some of Suzy's graduate school essays up in the video bar on the third floor. I got through the first essay as we finished up our drinks and then headed home to watch bad television and fall asleep in a pile.
All in all, a very pleasant day.
