You're all just dying for an actual write-up, I know it.

Sadly, the damper assembly on the Civic appears to be going south, and whining all the way there. I also have the annoying thumping noise which has been with me for at least a year and twenty thousand miles, if not more. Both obnoxious noises will be going to O'Donnell Honda tomorrow for service.

I've been talking with fellow EX owner Richard Krentz who is having a similar noises from his, and a quick Google search turned up a complaint about squeaking rear suspension in the first set of pages. I'm considering setting up a 2001 Civic EX owners group on my mail server (or hunting down that's already been created) and seeing if its a model-wide problem.

The service center will tell me the money hit tomorrow. Not that it matters since any number they mention will blow my budget for December.

Got back from Stephen Meyer, my dentist, at around 17:00 with a shiny new filling. I think he shot me up with the numb juice around 15:45 and I was pretty much senseless in my right jaw until around 21:00. He told me not to eat until it was all back to normal, but I had half a fruit cake and a can of sliced beets anyway. Something about not eating my tongue or something weird like that.

Anyway, he told me to cut out sipping sodas all day long. He said he has one with lunch himself but only with food. I may switch to coffee and get myself a machine for the office. I wonder how well that would go over? I've been bouncing around the office lately even without it. I can't imagine what sort of beast I'd be if more highly caffeinated.

Current resident feline Toxico is currently a pile of cuteness in my lap.
