Epistolary.org is five years old October 25, 2004 was the fifth anniversary of epistolary.org. I registered the domain name on October 25, 1999 in Jacki Gutenkunst's dorm room in Patapsco at UMBC on Dale Ghent's credit card with Network Solutions to point to 204.91.240.100 and 204.91.240.101. That month I got 56 hits. So far this month I received 56 hits every 2 minutes and 42 seconds and every year another 20 gigabytes of my words are scattered over the Earth from a little box in Laurel, MD.
