It rained and poured all last night, but this morning my basement was dry as a bone. In fact, my sump hole has only had a few inches of water in it this whole time. I'm thinking that the majority of the basement water was coming through the side. Now that the sidewalk is all sealed up and the new ladder is ready for use this weekend, I'll probably be able to worry about more important things like painting and organizing this winter.
