Jon Leiberman, Sinclair Broadcasting's Washington bureau chief said he was fired by Joseph DeFeo, Sinclair's vice president for news, and "escorted out of the building" for talking to the Baltimore Sun. Sinclair would not waive his noncompete agreement, which means he cannot work for a broadcast outlet in any market that has a Sinclair station.
