She hates my Beretta.

I'm so glad that Suz could come with me to Continental Arms today, but it's obvious that large, noisy firearms will be a particular joy and hobby that is best left unshared.

She doesn't like my wepaon to begin with, so coming to the realization that this particular toy is very loud, smelly and noisy didn't help. I'm happy that she's familiar enough to put a realiable hole SOMETHING, whether or not it happens to be the intended target. Sometimes just the willingness to pull the trigger is enough.

All the local burners went to the American Dime Museum tonight. It's amazing the things that are hidden in corners of Baltimore City that you would never notice if you didn't already know they were there. Tonight we all went because there was free admission to the museum, which drew a decent sized crowd. We were half of it.

Louis, one of our local recent fire-spinners, asked if he could do a small fire-spinning performance outside of the museum. When I looked at him, and then back at the crowd watching, I realized that there were six very capable fire spinners (one former professional) and no toys. But we left Louis to have his fun and he put on a a pretty good show for all of us.

Afterwards, everyone decided to go down to Alchemy night at Nation in D.C. By this time I was completely wiped out, but my red-headed tall-booted date had just begun her evening of fun, and decided to go out with everyone. Like the grumpy old man I am, I figured that anything that let me get to sleep on time was okay with me. Suz had a wonderful time which she can tell you more about, and I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

As we all left the street in front of the museum, Sara, Janet and I were the last to walk away. I waved to the ringmaster with a "Good show," and as I went to my car at 22:00, heard him say to his friend out on the front steps "Well, I guess that's it."

As always, burners represent and a good time is had by all!
