hope

Write a poem about a time you felt hope. Why did you feel hopeful, what does hope mean to you?

Hope means whatever you want isn't there yet, but it might be one day.

Hope means it might not actually happen, but it could.

Hope is embracing your fears and doubts and searching for the glimmer of inspiration and possibility deep within whatever it is you're going through.
Hope is knowing that you've done all you can, invested every bit of yourself, trod every path, and the everything between you and the thing you want is outside of your influence.

Hope is the optimist's assumption.

Hope is the pessimist's fantasy.

Hope is the realist's solace in the night.

Hope is knowing that things aren't as good as they could be, but they will.

Hope is faith in the right thing being destined to happen.
