June 6, 2002 This morning I got some money from a Bank of America ATM on my way to the Waverly Farmers Market.
I got there, saw Ben and Alicia, as I always tend to do when
I actually make it out to the market. I was tempted in by the sign on the local 7-11
store advertising New Blue Mountain Dew Slurpies. I was not disappointed. On the way back
through the market with my $5 bag of mesclun and another of assorted vegetables, I passed
a gal with an Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals Levaquin bag over her shoulder.
This evening I went to Peter and Kathleen's place in west
Baltimore. It's a really huge place on 2 acres of land only a few thousand feet from the
start of Interstate 70. We did some fire spinning and listened to some of Monk E's mix
CDs, and Steve, Rebecca and I planned out the
ten hour trek to Jonestown, WA tomorrow so they can begin their hike north back on the
Appalachian Trail to Shenandoah trailhead.
The Wye Oak fell this morning in high winds.
