A message from W. Keith Link, Baltimore County Traffic Engineering: Baltimore County will be conducting a terrorism drill at the MTA Light Rail Lot on Shawan Rd. on 8/14 from 8am until 12 noon. This will require Shawan Road to be closed between York Road and McCormick Road.

Guest presenters include: Melissa Martens, Curator of the Jewish Museum of Maryland, brings 1930s footage of the Hendler family (of Hendler's Creamery), from the Museum's collection. Eric Krasner of 16mmfilms.com screens the funniest and cheesiest how-to-make-a movie-films ever : "Celluloid College" ('47) Jo Israelson presents home movies of Heifer Project volunteer sea-fairing cowboys delivering cattle donated by Marylanders to European farms destroyed in WWII. And more surprises, plus you! Rifle through your attics, dig through your closets, call up Grandma, and search out your family's home movies and bring your family films or films you have found along the way! We will be equipped to screen regular-8, super-8 and 16mm films. Home Movie Day is a world wide event organized by amateur film lovers to celebrate the celluloid home movies of our community. Instruction in film handling and care provided. Co-presented by Colorlab, a Maryland-based motion picture film and telecine facility specializing in film preservation.
