Update from the Trenches

Over the last few days I have been designing the new logical structure for the Epistolary content management system. This will be the third major revision and this one holds a lot of potential for increasing the speed, link meshing and search functions of the previous version.

I'm being slowed down by a combination of long and productive workdays, a glut of contract work and the deadline for start of Playa del Fuego ticket sales approaching. I love coding and major system design when my brain is working fast enough to keep up with my dreams and inventions. Unfortuantely, having to do it for about 14 hours a day, every day, is starting to burn me out.

I'm also reluctant to post new content prior to the upgrade because I know that the new system is going to make it tons earlier. That's why today was one of the few days I've ever let my front page get down to absolutely no content.

Tonight I'll be spending at home alone with a white board on the wall, my Powerbook G4 and a project design notebook on the desk and Modern Systems Analysis and Design on my lap.

Wish me luck.
