June 14, 2004 This morning I woke up to find my basement continuing to flood. My neighbor next door had left a running garden hose across his backyard which had flooded my entire side yard and started to drip into the basement and stream across the floor. Usually the gutters would take the water away, but he was pouring it directly into the sidewalk and down into the foundation from the ground level. I stuffed a note in his door this morning asking him to please take care of it, but not after taking a few pictures of the effects of his carelessness on my property in case it should become an issue.
Someone neighboring my property probably called Baltimore County on me on Friday for my failure to mow. It would be ironic if it were him considering the mowed grass and weed-whacked area along the fence did nothing to deflect his torrent.
NPR reports this morning that the Clinton book may do for Kerry what the Reagan funeral did for both campaigns.
