May 8, 2004 Cicadas be damned, Suzy and I spent an hour in the backyard on a blanket watching the birds socialize on the power lines. I'm aware that the cicadas haven't actually arrived yet. We joked this afternoon about every day before they come out feeling like the calm before the storm.
There are only about a dozen holes in the backyard so far and I couldn't even say that they are cicada holes for sure. Phil Garrett posted up a picture from 17 years ago where his backyard looked like swiss cheese. I'm not looking forward to that either.
I spent the day working on the Playa del Fuego ticket system and Suzy put together Ginger's new clutter management web site. Hopefully she'll like it when she finally gets to see it.
News for the day on Abu Gharib, Diebold, March 11, 2004 and the Palestinian State.
