January 17, 2004 Woke up this morning from the most realistic dream of attending a pool party at John Goodman's house. Apparently there was a big snow and ice storm which had coated a road with ice as Kathleen and I and some other people in her car were trying to get home. We started to slip back down a tall hill in the snow-coated countryside and the car behind us swerved and wound up flipped in the other lane. I ran out of the car to the top of the hill and started stopping other cars who were preparing to drive over the hill so they wouldn't hit the other vehicle. That's when we looked over to notice this pool party going on in a house on the left side of the street, and realized that the side of the road was filled with parallel parked cars. We slid the car into a space and were all invited inside.
I even had what must have been a very detailed five minute conversation with him in the front room (probably a sun room), grabbed a Heineken from his fridge at his invitation, and got a personal house tour (it was a very nice house) which ended in a kids bedroom that could lower itself into a massive swimming pool (and did). My dream abruptly ended a few minutes after chatting with a topless european movie star in the pool and then hopping out to find my cell phone so I could call Mike Keesey to brag about where I was. Of course I don't notice it in my dream but by this time its summer weather and I'm in my bathing suit and bare feet. As I was looking for my backpack on the patio, my real phone rang next to the bed and woke me up.
Now obviously I've never actually met John Goodman in person, and in my dream he had two boys, not the one girl that IMDB reports. I also have no idea what his house looks like, but it would be cool if it were anything like this (and if I were invited).

Budget news is looking up! I'm down to $9.35 per day. At this point I'll not only make my budget, but beat it by $23.
