So I'm officially sick. Went to the doctor after a short stint at work and the IT department holiday lunch. The PA took a throat culture and put it into the test. About ten or fifteen minutes later my doctor comes in and calls my strep culture "abundant" and remarks that in that short period of time I've been waiting my test has already turned positive. I'm delighted at this, obviously. After my appointment I went out and got my prescription, then stayed home for the rest of the day so as not to make my co-workers as ill as I am. I have a nice amoxicillin prescription from Walgreens, so I should be non-contagious by Sunday and feeling better by Monday so long as I remember to take my pills.

In a bout of lazy hunger I ordered from Fun Wok (just about a block short of my new doctor's office up in Carney) and they gave me an attractive roll-out calendar to hang in the bedroom. I'm sure it won't hang in the bedroom for long, but so long as I'm a bachelor I'll be damned if I don't enjoy the lifestyle for the next week and change.
