I tossed and turned all of last night and when I finally "woke up" I realized there was no chance in hell I was going to work. Spent most of today in a zombie-like stupor, rising only for breakfast, lunch and to pick up Alex from after-school care.

We went out shopping to Kohls because Suz knew they had a nice boot sale going on. The closest one was in Bel Air, MD which was a longer drive than either of us had anticipated. They were all sold out of boots, but I got a nice new pair of shoes to replace my decrepit old black ones. I feel very stylish right now.

We finally got a pair of boots at Target and picked up some subs at Quizzno's to round out the evening. Now Suz is running around the house like a decapitated fowl trying to get everything packed for her trip to Wisconsin which starts tomorrow evening. The most important part seems to be the in-drive entertainment provided by a Powerbook G4, speakers and a Vector VEC023.

Two weeks is a long time for both her and Alex to be away. I'm going to miss her.
