This afternoon the driver from yesterday turned herself into Northern District and recieved a citation. The desk sergeant wouldn't be specific on what specific citation was issued and I didn't press the issue on the telephone. This evening there was a note on the primary victim's car with her insurance information and an apology. She said that she "swerved to avoid hitting a cat," but left no explanation of why she left suddenly.
