Another day passes and yet again I find myself involved in another local group. This time it's the yearbook committee for the Villa Cresta Elementary School 5th grade memories book. This year it actually encompasses all grades from 1-5.

The Villa Cresta PTA is headed by a fellow by the name of Ed Gizara. He's ex-military, but in the problems-to-be-solved take-no-prisoners way instead of the bureaucracy is king mindset. I like his attitude even though I don't agree with a couple of his points, he seems to be just what a school like Villa Cresta needs to be kept on its toes.

He's also a former network administrator.

The rest of the group appears to be typical PTA. All women, everyone talks over everyone else, and I was ignored in the roundtable introductions. Suz says it was just my pausing that made the woman next to me go straight into her own introduction. I'm thinking that a five second polite pause for everyone to turn their heads and me to clear my throat shouldn't be too much to ask for.

This should be a very interesting experience.

In other news, my sister has taken me up on my offer of a LiveJournal code and finally has her very own weblog. Apparently the interface is easy enough that she's interested in keeping it up. I hope so.

I busted my toe trying to do handstands in the living room. I asked Suz, "What do you want me to do?" She replied, "Handstands." Seemed simple enough. I almost had it too. It's probably the most stretching I've done to my body in weeks. I almost feel like taking a jog tomorrow morning if the relative humidity is less than 137%.

Sometimes I miss my old apartment.
