I need to write an entry so I can clear my mind and focus on work.

My new MidiSport 1x1 is just as cool as I expected it to be. After work I downloaded a trial copy of Harmony Assistant X and hooked in all the cables. I had to download the OSX drivers (for 10.2 even though I'm running Panther) from the web site since the CD-ROM they sent had nothing but symbolic links for the OSX driver directories.

Did a little random composing and then finally decided that I was going to try to re-write some of my favorite deep house mixes into score format since they have a lot of jazzy typical instruments that my keyboard has and less bouncy electronic noises. The only problem with the copy of Harmony Assistant X is that it doesn't have the ability to save your work. That privilege costs $74 (but does come with another CD full of digital sounds), so I didn't invest too much energy into music writing.

Northwest Airlines double authorized my credit card for $816 and then did the three transactions (one for each ticket) for our Thanksgiving flight, so I've got all but $90 of my credit limit locked up from their mistake until November 6, 2003.
