Storm day! The backyard is mostly clean, the basement is elevated and the Baltimore County Fire Department scanner is cranking.

Update 22:13, lost the stream at 17:30 when we lost power. So far we've had some insignificant rain, a couple of wind gusts, an exploding wire in the backyard (replete with mountain of smoke drifting into the house), a couple of Hurricanes (out of a bottle) and a trip to Mount Everest. We've got lots of candles and glowing lights, and I've been keeping track of what's going on with the local RACES guys and the fire department. Sorry I can't share it. Alex is across the street playing a game with our neighbors who are also power-free.

The radio said earlier they (FEMA/MEMA) were expecting the worst here around 23:00. I guess we'll find out in 45 minutes.
