August 9, 2003 Happy birthday to Doug Wittich.
First, an admission of my geekness. We went to Target today to pick up some school supplies and I couldn't help but pick up the new TI Connectivity Kit USB for graphing calculators. This goes back a long way for me, and I couldn't resist something that would let me interface my TI-85 with my Powerbook G4.
I also managed to go to the supermarket, walk around for 15 minutes and walk out having purchased absolutely nothing. I really am bordering on brain-dead right about now. Luckily I have my emergency nutrition recourse, the Subway sandwich meal. Yum.
Went out to Mount Everest this evening. When we came home and I started to clean the house, Suz helped for about five minutes and then set up her movie. I asked her to please help me clean until the living room was done (about ten more minutes of picking up crap and sweeping between the two of us) and she decided to go up to sleep instead of doing either. Its the team effort that makes me so happy I live here.
I'm going to propose a new rule in this house that nobody goes to sleep until the floor is clean, the table is free of any objects or dirt, the dishes are washed and everything is off the floor and side of the bathroom sink. I may add an optional rule concerning having a load of wash running every evening before bed, but that may be taking it a bit far.
