May 15, 2003 After work, Dale and Sara came over to the house to drop off Kathleen's new bike and pick up a mat. I showed off my new toy and Dale went to tighten the last few screws on the bike. Luckily he brought over a nice pair of plyers that we used to loosen the nuts on Suz's playa bike. After months we finally got the tires off and got the new tubes in it. It still needs a bit of work but it's nine tenths of the way to be playa ready.
Suz and I watched Sex and Lucia. About halfway through the movie, we saw flashing orange lights outside on the street. I looked out front to see a couple of BGE trucks outside. After a few minutes of wondering what they were up to, the power went off for the entire block. Suz finished watching her DVD on battery power and I grabbed a flashlight and went up to bed. Power was back on in an hour or so, and I brought nitrous.vees.net back up to spec and went to sleep.
Governor Ehrlich has ordered the United States Flag and the Maryland State Flag be flown at half staff from sunrise to sunset on May 15, 2003. This action is to honor the memory of fallen law enforcement officers who lost their lives while performing their duty.
