July 1, 2003 I feel so shitty about having to drop the dog off yesterday. There are no good reasons to drop a dog off at the pound for four days of hope followed by euthanasia. Once the dog came into the house it became our responsibility, and its one that I wasn't prepared to handle.
This morning I told Suz that I think we made the right choice. She said she hoped the choice wasn't as selfish as I made it sound in my entry yesterday. Maybe it was. We just can't manage to have a dog with our lifestyle and its not fair to put the animal through that.
For perspective, Suz disagrees on her blog.
The UMBC Department of Information Systems will join the College of
Engineering, which will be re-named the College of Engineering and
Information Technology.
Lynn Marshall will be at Brewers Art tonight.
My emotional space is again fucked up, so I'll be anal retentively cleaning and reorganizing my physical and informational spaces until things come back into order.
These are the times I wish I had comments enabled on here. If you have any opinions about what we should do or should have done about the dog, please e-mail me so I know at least there are more opinions than just mine and Suz's. Thanks Greg!
