June 24, 2001 I'm moving again!
After three years of avoiding the city of Baltimore, I've finally decided
to go in and conquer it from the inside. My new address as of July 27,
2001 will be:
2600 North Calvert Street
Baltimore, MD 21218-4616
It's an amazing row-house on the corner of North Calvert Street and 26th
Street in Charles Village. Dale needed a tenant to help lighten the blow
of mortgage payments and to wire the place for the 21st century, and I
couldn't resist the opportunity to move into such a great house in the city.
Pictures of the house tour during the inspection are up on my gallery.
My telephone number at (443) 612-9182 will be turning off on August 7,
2001. I haven't decided if I'm going to get a new phone of my own or not,
but after then you can reach me at work. As usual, all
my personal contact info is on the web, and if anything changes, I update that page right away.
Of course, I've got to give up my old apartment when I move. My apartment
on Nunnery Lane in Catonsville, MD is four rooms on the top of a
subdivided townhouse. It has a living room, bedroom, a bathroom with a
shower and tub, a kitchen with new shelving, a gas range and oven, and
plenty of closet space. This is a great place for anyone attending UMBC,
and already has CapuNet DSL Internet installed for $50/mo.
My landlord has been pretty good to me, so I'd love to be able to
recommend another tenant to take over at the end of my lease. You'll also
have broadband Internet up right away instead of the 30-60 day lead time
on DSL installs. There's also a couple of other perks of living here that
I can explain to anybody that's interested via email. Here are some pictures of the place.
I haven't decided on hiring a moving company yet because I don't have a
lot of furniture that doesn't either fold and/or stack. If you're
interested in trading your time for some good exercise, pizza and beer
over the weekend of July 27, send me an e-mail and I'll let you know the
details. If I do decide to hire movers, you're also welcome to come by
and help me eat pizza and drink beer while we watch them do all the work.
