Happy birthday to Debra Schmelzer!

The Baltimore City Planning Department is in the process of a comprehensive rezoning of the city. The goals of this project are to modernize the Zoning Code and to simplify the development process. Changes to zoning regulations regarding nightlife and live entertainment are currently being addressed. Proposed changes include definitions for live entertainment venues and a list of the types of conditions that may be imposed when live entertainment is a conditional use.

If this affects your neighborhood and you want your voice to be heard then attend the informational meeting to review the draft proposals at 18:00 in the Planning Department Board Room at 417 East Fayette Street (Benton Building) 8th Floor. Bring photo ID with you to be granted access into the building. Call Gloria Griffin, Special Projects Manager, at 410-396-4556 if you have questions.

This morning on C-SPAN Radio, Senator Wayne Allard told us that we have always been at war with Iraq. I expect to hear next week that Afghanistan is our ally.

My department is looking for a Technical Support Specialist. Apply within.

I've been pondering the words of Robert Bolt as he wrote them for Sir Thomas More's part in A Man For All Seasons and trying to figure out where I stand on them.
