On December 18, 2002, Governor Glendening ordered the Maryland State Flag be flown at half staff effective immediately until sunset of interment. This action is in honor of Volunteer Firefighter Justin Robert Mangun, Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Company, who was killed in the line of duty on December 16, 2002. No funeral arrangements are available at this time
