CAT

I used to listen to longwave radio from my parents house in South Plainfield. As I would go around the middle of the band on the shortwave receiver I would hear a repeated morse code transmission of:

CAT... CAT... CAT...

Over and over again.

I was intregued, but didn't know how to find out more information about it until John Harlow (ex WN4AYD) on baltwash-burning pointed me towards airnav.com, which had information about airports and navigation beacons like the Chatham NDB in Chatham, NJ which broadcasts the morse code id of CAT on 254 KHz over and over again.
