BARC Free-Fest The Baltimore Amateur Radio Club (BARC) is a hamfest to buy, sell or swap ham and computer related stuff, held in the exhibit hall at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD.
Normally, the Timonium Road gate is opened, but if it's closed, go to the York Road gate where it's held in the Home Arts building.
This year it will be held on January 21, 2004.
There are no admission tickets or table reservations. There is a stack of tables. If you want to sell, get a table from the stack, and put it away when you are done. The event starts in the late afternoon, anywhere after 15:00, but it could be earlier, when the first person sets up. The event runs until everyone leaves, usually around 22:00.
This open to everyone, even non-hams. It's the club's way of saying thank you to all the hams and to fire everyone up for the Greater Baltimore Hamboree and Computerfest. If you have anything to sell, feel free to bring it down and put it out on the tables, or just come to browse the wares that others bring with them.
Thanks to Doug Wittich N3VEJ for the information.
