Election 2002 results All three of Maryland's state-wide questions won approval.
Question 1 giving District Court Commissioners power to issue civil interim peace orders and civil interim protective orders when the Office of the Clerk of the District Court is closed (ostensibly to protect victims of domestic abuse) won with over 87% of the vote in favor and 12% opposed.
Question 2 authorizing the Maryland General Assembly to pass emergency laws creating or abolishing any public office or changing the terms or duties of any officer (in the imminent event of a terrorist attack) won by as of November 6, 2002 at 2:28 was winning by a little more than a percentage point state-wide (50% in favor to 49% against).
Question 3 establishing an independent appraiser to give a value to property taken under emminent domain because its in the way of the planned Intercounty Connector in Montgomery County passed by a 20 point margin (60% in favor to 40% against) with 71% in favor in Montgomery County itself.
