Washington, DC

If you know anyone who has "received" a ticket in DC that wasn't on the windshield, then actually received a notice in the mail with a doubled fine or been ticketed for an offense that occured when they were actually driving or parked somewhere else entirely, please e-mail me. My friend is collecting information and stories for a Washington Post article.

Welcome to D.C. Please stand to the right, and check out our Metro Bloggers while you're here. Interesting neighborhoods include Adams Morgan. If you plan to join in a protest, be aware that the police cameras are watching your every move. And don't eat on the Metro.

A recent report in The Washington Times reveals that the number one money-making camera in the district is placed such that it does virtually nothing to make for a safer roadway, being placed as it is on "A six-lane highway bordered by two service roads with no homes, schools, churches or hospitals nearby."
