The FT-8000R is a mobile ham radio made by Yaesu. It has a MIL-STD 810 rating, CTCSS, and transmit and receive coverage on the 2 meter and 70 centimeter amateur radio bands. It has 110 memory channels, 55 per band including home channels. It has dual standard VFO displays which can be configured for dual receive (either both VHF, both UHF or one of each). Standard features include Automatic Power Off, 1200 and 9600 baud packet compatable, a DTMF autodialer and a crossband repeater. Receive coverage is from 110 to 550 MHz and 750 to 1300 MHz with cellular blocked. Transmit ranges for an unmodified unit are 144 to 148 MHz and 430 to 450 MHz (the two meter and 440 amateur bands). The unit has 35 watts power output on 440 and 50 watts on 2 meters.
