Bruce Tulgan Bruce Tulgan wrote a chapter in his new book about how instiutional detergent company Ecolab treated their employees in one instance. In the situation that he describes, EcoLab hired on a salesman named Rick, but started to make him do more of the things that an engineer and repairman would do without recognizing his new job responsibilities accordingly. Needless to say, in short order, Ecolab lost a valuable and multi-skilled employee to rival Softco. Thanks to Jeff Coombs of RainmakerThinking, Inc. for providing me with the direct link to this article.
